Application of Prestressed Concrete Pipe Pile Technology in Soft Soil Foundation Construction

Prestressed pipe piles are a widely used construction technology in engineering. However, in some areas with complex geology, thick layers of weak soil such as silt, deep bedrock, and a lack of construction experience, there are misunderstandings about the stress and failure mechanisms of pipe piles, or the influence of improper equipment selection, unreasonable process settings, inappropriate procedures, and low quality of construction personnel, which can easily lead to major quality problems, prolong the construction period, increase costs, and cause waste. Therefore, continuous exploration and summary of construction technology and quality control are necessary. This paper analyzes the technical characteristics of prestressed pipe piles and discusses their application in soft soil foundations.

Construction Management of Static Pressure Pipe Piles for Soft Foundation Treatment in Shenzhen Airport Expansion

The site of the runway and taxiway expansion project in the flight area expansion of Shenzhen Airport is mostly located within the earth-surface area of the original flight control zone, where there is a 6.0–7.0 m thick layer of marine silt or backfilled silt. Foundation treatment is required to meet the construction requirements of the airfield area, and most of this area is a non-stop construction zone with a tight schedule. The construction quality of static pressure pipe piles is crucial, and soft foundation treatment is a key part of this expansion. Factorial Analysis of the Effects of Root Canal Irrigants and Adhesives on Root Canal Microleakage after Cementation of Metal Post-and-Core

Objective To investigate the effects of root canal irrigants and adhesives on coronal microleakage of the root canal after cementation of metal post-and-core, as well as the interaction between the two on coronal microleakage of the root canal. Methods A two-factor factorial design was adopted. Ninety extracted mandibular premolars that had completed root canal obturation underwent post space preparation. After conventional fabrication of cobalt-chromium post-and-core, they were divided into 6 groups, with 15 teeth in each group. Three root canal irrigants (factor A) were selected: A1 was no irrigant (cleaned with 75% ethanol cotton pellets), A2 was 3% H2O2 + 0.9% NaCl solution, and A3 was 15% ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) + 5.25% NaClO solution; two adhesives (factor B) were selected: B1 was zinc polycarboxylate cement, and B2 was glass ionomer cement. Cause Analysis and Preventive Measures for Damage to Extra-Long Pipe Piles Caused by Hammer Piling

During the piling construction of extra-long pipe piles (generally referring to a pile set with a total length exceeding 50 m), defects such as top crushing of the final pile section or cracks in the pile body frequently occur. In-situ treatment techniques such as reinforcement and strengthening or supplementary piling must be adopted to remedy defective piles so as to meet design and service requirements. This paper discusses and analyzes the causes of damage to extra-long pipe piles caused by hammer piling, and, based on the author's years of construction experience, proposes effective preventive measures for reference and use in similar projects.

Research on the Application of Re-driving Technology in Addressing Floating Piles Caused by Prestressed Pipe Pile Construction

With the increase in high-rise buildings, the requirements for foundation treatment have become increasingly stringent, and the application of pile foundations has gradually become widespread. Pile foundations are mainly divided by construction technology into pipe piles and cast-in-place piles, among which pipe piles are widely used due to their fast pile-forming speed, high bearing capacity, and low cost. In recent years, to improve the bearing capacity and shear resistance of pipe piles, researchers have adopted prestressing technology to manufacture prestressed pipe piles, greatly enhancing the mechanical performance of the pile body. However, due to the construction technology and equipment of pipe piles, various quality problems frequently occur, with the floating pile phenomenon being the most prominent. This paper focuses on the causes of floating piles in prestressed pipe pile construction, treatment methods, and the application of re-driving technology.
