Haikou's Three Ports Suspend Operations Due to Fog; Vehicles Advised Not to Head to Ports

The Haikou Municipal Transport and Port Authority has issued a suspension notice for the Qiongzhou Strait: due to heavy fog over the Qiongzhou Strait, Haikou's Xinhaigang Port, Xiuying Port and the Railway South Port suspended operations as of 6:55 a.m. on March 6. The suspension is expected to last until the morning of March 6 (services will resume once weather conditions improve), with the resumption time to be announced separately. During the suspension, all outbound vehicles should not travel to the ports. Tickets already purchased for the suspended period remain valid, and boarding may be postponed accordingly after services resume. Tickets are not interchangeable among the three Haikou ports. During the suspension, no vehicles are permitted to remain on roads around the ports.
